Counselling & Psychotherapy

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Trauma, bereavement, relational issues, abuse, family disputes, redundancy, illness – these are some of the issues that are difficult to come to terms with in life. This might be the time to think about counselling or psychotherapy. I aim to create a space that fosters exploration and creativity.

In my approach I focus on the issues you present, but we invariably also explore the underlying unconscious processes. When going through an emotionally challenging time, it is useful to experience a relationship such as the one I provide, where unspoken thoughts and feelings can find uncensored expression.

I offer outdoor therapy on request. Solvitur ambulando - it is solved by walking.

I abide by the UKCP ethical code.

In my approach I integrate psychodynamic and humanistic / existential theories and approaches as well as Climate Psychology.

I offer short-term and long-term work. It is useful to arrange a regular time and day. Sessions last for 50 minutes.

I run training weekends for the Minster Centre on working therapeutically with eco-anxiety and environmental trauma.

I am an active member of the CPA (Climate Psychology Alliance) and offer talks and workshops on the psychological impact of the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

I am a trained climate café facilitator and offer climate cafes for CPA (and other organisations on request).
